Step 1

Create your book

Use Blurb's free design tools or upload a print-ready PDF to create your book, magazine, or journal. Before you go live, we highly recommend ordering a proof copy to check for layout, color, and copy issues that are easier to catch in print.

Create your book listing

In your Blurb dashboard, select your project and click "Sell my book". Add a preview, write your book description, and complete your author profile.
Step 3

Set your listing price

Head to the Sales Channel & Profit tab in your dashboard. There you'll see the base printing cost of your book—just enter your desired profit, and we'll calculate the final retail price for you.
Step 4

Promote your book

Choose how public your listing is. You can make it searchable or private with a direct link only. Then share your link, embed your book preview on your blog or website, and drive sales through social media, email, or wherever your audience lives.

What type of books can I sell in the Blurb Bookstore?

Anything you can make with Blurb can be sold in the Blurb Bookstore. That includes all photo books, magazines, paperback and hardcover books, notebooks, and journals.

Do I need an ISBN to sell my book in the Blurb Bookstore?

That depends on what type of book you want to make and sell. If you've made a photo book and only plan on selling it in the Blurb Bookstore, then no, you don't need an ISBN. If you plan on selling your photo book through Amazon or Ingram then it will need an ISBN.

If you are making and selling a hardcover or paperback book, then you do need an ISBN which will be automatically added to your book as part of the production process.

How do I calculate the price of my book in the Blurb Bookstore?

There are no fees for listing your book in the Blurb Bookstore so your list price (the price a customer pays when they order your book) is simply the cost to print your book with Blurb plus your desired profit.

How do I get paid from sales in the Blurb Bookstore and when?

These changes will only apply to the information shown about your book in the Blurb Bookstore. To make changes to your actual book or magazine, you will need to make edits in the bookmaking software you used to create it and then re-upload your project.

Can I add my book or magazine to more than one bookstore category?

Yes. When you create your Blurb Bookstore listing, you can choose a Primary Category and Additional Categories for your book or magazine to appear under.
